Iran short animation ‘Mr. Deer’ is slated to be screened at the Melbourne International Film Festival in Australia.
Directed by Mojtaba Mousavi, the animation is to vie at the 2018 edition of the Australian event.
Produced by Elaheh Farnia, ‘Mr. Deer’ took two years of production with professional tech crew in collaboration.
The 9-minute animation is set in an unknown time, in a ruined subway station which is similar to those in modern European societies. People in this society have animal faces and have forgotten humane values.
‘Mr. Deer’ has gone on screen at international film events such as the 2018 Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France.
“MIFF is a not-for-profit organization that has been continuously running since 1952, making it the leading film festival in Australia and one of the world’s oldest film festivals, alongside Cannes and Berlin,” the official website of the festival wrote.
The 2018 edition of the festival is slated to be launched on August 2-19, 2018 in Australia.
